Hincapie

Is it OK to be great without being the greatest? This is the question that bubbled to the surface as I reflected on the career of George Hincapie, one of the greatest cyclist in American history that many of you have probably never heard of. Hincapie has the all-time record for most Tour de France races completed at 17. This incredible feet makes him the Cal Ripken of cycling. He is a guy that always answered the call and someone who worked tirelessly for his team right to the final stage of the USPRO Cycling Challenge in Colorado. The video below speaks greatly to his contribution, and I can only wish that someday people can say some of the same things about me...tireless worker for other, answered the bell each day, bettered himself throughout his career, and was a great partner, teammate, and friend.

Big George showed a lot of class to the very end.
